New digital health research from Parks Associates shows that 18% of consumers in U.S. broadband households were participating in at least one wellness program early in 2017.

Overall Use of Wellness Apps and Wellness Programs

“Overall wellness program participation is low given the percentage of people showing concerns about their health. Our research shows roughly 60% of U.S. broadband households have at least one resident with a chronic condition,” said Jennifer Kent, Director, Research Quality & Product Development, Parks Associates. “To drive engagement and participation, insurers and employers would benefit from more aggressive promotions and more interactive program designs using smartphone apps and devices as well as personalized incentives.”
