Seale Moorer,
CEO, Exceptional Innovation
|
|
 |
Considered one of the most
aggressive and daring entrepreneurs in the
CEDIA market, Moorer believes in building
products one way – the right way. He has a
track record of success in software and
hardware solutions in both the retail and
consumer electronics markets.
His previous business
Unlimited Solutions was begun in 1994 and
within five years, he and longtime friend
and colleague Eric Eichensehr had helped
to change an industry from its proprietary
roots to an open market, where the costs
of hardware products had been reduced due
to greater competition and availability in
the marketplace.
Moorer merged Unlimited
Solutions with NSB Retail Systems, a
British concern, in 1999. The merger
resulted in a company that saw its market
capitalization grow almost 10 fold in two
short years. Moorer was named a Board
member upon the completion of the merger
and remained a board member for five
years.
The experience of building
a strong company in the face of stiff
competition provided the experience and
drive for Moorer and Eichensehr to form
Exceptional Innovation. They agreed that
the parallels between the retail point of
sale industry and the consumer
electronics’ industry were such that their
combined experience and technologies
available from Microsoft and others could
result in a dynamic change to the industry
within five years.
