Julie DeTraglia Julie DeTraglia, VP, Head of Research , Hulu

Julie DeTraglia is the Vice President and Head of Research at Hulu where she oversees the company’s research teams in ad sales, consumer marketing, and user experience. DeTraglia leads the development, design and implementation of all research initiatives at Hulu, advising business leads on sales strategy, consumer insights, customer acquisition, and product design and experience. 
 
Prior to joining Hulu, DeTraglia spent nearly 15 years at NBCUniversal, where she was most recently the SVP of Digital Research, responsible for sales research, strategy and analytics across NBC’s digital properties, including sites and apps for NBC Entertainment, News, Sports, Olympics and cable entertainment properties.  She also spent several years in TV research and integrated marketing. 
 
DeTraglia is a member of the Samba TV Data Advisory Board and multiple industry councils.  In 2017, DeTraglia was recognized as one of the top forty digital executives to watch by Campaign Magazine.  In 2018, she was also recognized by She Runs It as a Working Mother of the Year.
 
DeTraglia is a graduate of Dartmouth College and is based in New York with her husband and three sons.

Kristen Hanich studies digital and connected health and mobile trends across the globe. Kristen is a trained anthropologist with skills in ethnography, development/programming, and geoanalytics. She has a background in the areas of health behavior and epidemiology.

Kristen is completing her Master's thesis for a duel anthropology and public health degree between the Universities of North Texas in Denton and Fort Worth. She earned her B.Sc. in health at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has a graduate certificate in GIS.

Craig joined Parks Associates in 2018 as part of the entertainment services research team. With over a decade spent in research and analysis roles, Craig brings experience from a variety of industries to Parks Associates, including IT services, telecommunications, retail & loyalty, and beauty & personal care.

Craig earned his Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, with concentrations in Marketing and International Business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, CA.

Billy joined Parks Associates in 2018 as part of the entertainment services research team. He brings experience from both the sports journalism and data analytics industries, making him uniquely positioned to study trends in television and the dynamic entertainment industry as a whole.

Billy earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Southern Methodist University, where he minored in Sport Management and Film and Media Arts.

As a senior director of research at Parks Associates, Brett Sappington leads Parks Associates services research team, including access and entertainment services, digital media, OTT, cloud media, video gaming, and technical support services. Brett is an expert in worldwide television and broadband services. His personal research focuses on the activities and trends among operators and the market forces affecting their businesses. Brett is a regular speaker and moderator at international industry events.

Brett has spent over eighteen years in the industry as an analyst, executive manager, and entrepreneur. Previously, he founded and served as vice president for Teligy, a software company specializing in software for wired and wireless communications systems. Brett established new divisions for networking and audio/multimedia software for Intelligraphics. He has also been involved in the development and marketing of early-market products for 802.11 wireless networking, VoIP, and other technologies.

Brett holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in high-tech marketing and a BA in physics from Baylor University.
