CONNECTIONS Europe Features Telefónica, Orange, and Swisscom on Emerging Business Strategies for Digital Home Services

Parks Associates today announced the early sponsors and preliminary agenda for CONNECTIONS™ Europe: Monetizing the Digital Home, 13-14 November at the Crowne Plaza South in Amsterdam. The executive conference, produced by Parks Associates in association with ESNA, explores new business opportunities in connected home and entertainment value-added services through high-level analysis, global and European consumer research, and information on emerging and converging technologies.

"CONNECTIONS™ Europe offers a unique experience, combining consumer data and executive expertise to analyze the emerging opportunities in Europe and around the world," said Stuart Sikes, president, Parks Associates. "With technologies converging around the multiscreen concept, companies need to understand the full connected home ecosystem to stay competitive and capture all opportunities."

CONNECTIONS™ Europe provides this necessary perspective through sessions and networking with international executives and potential partners. Parks Associates' research team will lead sessions on personal cloud solutions, OTT strategies, and multiscreen services as well as the home automation value proposition for service providers and energy utilities.

Marco Romero, Global Head Product Marketing M2M, Telefónica, is a keynote speaker. Other confirmed speakers:

Andreas Martschitsch, Head of Digital Home, Customer Experience Design, Swisscom (Schweiz) AG
Telmo Perez, VP Business Growth, Convergence & Home Line of Business, Orange
Gene Wang, CEO, People Power Company
Ben Weinberger, CEO and Co-founder, Digitalsmiths
"Over 50% of pay-TV subscribers in Western Europe have access to TV Everywhere services, but the percentages of broadband households who actually use these services range from 16% in the U.K. to only 6% in Germany," said Brett Sappington, Director, Research, Parks Associates. "Following a rapid rollout, operator strategies now must shift to integrate these services more fully into their portfolios of value-added services, with reliable session quality and cohesive interfaces across platforms."

Early sponsors include Digitalsmiths; PacketVideo; myStrom AG, a subsidiary of Swisscom; and People Power Company.
