But to ensure consistent throughput of multimedia services throughout the home network, there's still room for improvement," stated Kurt Scherf, vice president and principal analyst of Parks Associates, a Dallas-based market research firm that specializes in residential and small office technology analysis. "Content service providers are now taking a second look at broadband over powerline as an alternate solution for delivering services within the home, offering cost savings both to themselves and the user."
