Samsung Electronics Taps Delivery Agent’s T-Commerce Platform to Launch Groundbreaking Contextual Shopping Experiences for Smart TVs

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. and Delivery Agent today announced that Samsung Smart TV viewers can now shop directly from their TVs simultaneously while viewing their favorite TV shows, enabling a true contextual shopping experience. Consumers can use their remote control to shop, receive promotional offers, or request additional information related to TV shows and commercials.

Parks Associates estimates that of the 136 million TV households in North America projected in 2013, Smart TV homes will be present in 32 million, or 23 percent. By 2017, more than half (53%) of TV households will own a Smart TV.
