Sutherland Global Services (Sutherland) announced today that Joe Buggy, Senior Vice President, Customer Lifecycle Management Practice will be participating as a speaker at the upcoming CONNECTIONS™ Conference, co-located at CTIA, May 20-May 23 in Las Vegas. Mr. Buggy will participate in the session “Extending the Customer Relationship through Tech Support” on Wednesday, May 22 at 11:15 am.

The interactive panel session, moderated by Patrice Samuels, Research Analyst, Parks Associates examines consumer support interests and needs. Speakers will discuss how the expansion of tech support business models creates opportunities for service providers, CE manufacturers, and retailers to build long term relationships with consumers.

Parks Associates research finds that global unit sales of connected CE, including smart TVs, connected Blu-ray players, connected game consoles, media tablets, and digital video media receivers, will grow from approximately 247 million in 2012 to nearly 734 million by 2017.
“I am thrilled to continue Sutherland’s active participation with CONNECTIONS and exchange ideas on how global service providers can leverage cutting-edge technologies to help companies improve customer support across the entire lifecycle. Sutherland is the market leader in deploying complete ownership models for in-scope warranty support and out-of-scope premium support and we view the convergence of products and services in the connected home a tremendous opportunity to create integrated and efficient business models that more effectively support consumers. I look forward to an insightful industry panel discussion,” stated Joe Buggy, SVP Customer Lifecycle Management at Sutherland.

CONNECTIONS™, hosted by research firm Parks Associates, focuses on emerging technologies, monetization strategies, and content distribution for connected CE and connected home services. The executive conference includes keynotes from AT&T, Starz, and Samsung and sessions featuring executives focused on emerging technologies, products, and services for the connected home and mobile industry. CONNECTIONS™ also features the Connected Home Pavilion on the CTIA show floor, with demos from solution providers for the digital home.

“CONNECTIONS™ will address new monetization strategies for broadband, entertainment, and cloud services as well as the adoption and usage of connected CE platforms,” said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. “The speakers will present unparalleled insight and new ideas, business models, and technology innovations for the many aspects of the connected home.
