Windows* Gains Strength on Intel Processor-Based Tablets

Refinements to Microsoft Windows 8 and the introduction of system-on-chip (SoC) designs based on the Intel® Atom™ processor Z3700 series provide an option for software developers to target with innovative apps.

The rapid adoption of computing tablets has reshaped the technology landscape. In a third-quarter 2013 report, Parks Associates Research Analyst Jennifer Kent stated, “In just three years, the tablet has penetrated over a third of U.S. broadband households, with an expanding portfolio of devices and range of price points driving growth year-over-year.”
