Parks Associates to host 7th Annual CONNECTIONS™ Summit at 2013 CES Tuesday in South Hall, Rooms S204-S205

International research firm Parks Associates invites media to attend the 7th annual CONNECTIONS™ Summit at CES,10 A.M.-5:15 P.M. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in Las Vegas, followed by a reception sponsored by Lowe's at 6 p.m.

CONNECTIONS™ Summit features five interactive panel sessions focused on new roles for service providers and new monetization strategies for connected devices and smart TVs, digital content for multiple platforms, and value-added services. Parks Associates research shows:

By 2016, 814 million households worldwide will have Internet service, and over 94% will have broadband.
20% of U.S. broadband households own at least three of the four app-based devices, including a smartphone, tablet, smart TV, and game console.
Video viewing on tablets is already six hours per week, and tablet penetration will reach 66% of U.S. broadband households in 2013.
