CTIA 2014 Partners with NAHB 2014 "Design and Construction Week"

CTIA-The Wireless Association® today announced partnerships with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) 2014 "Design and Construction Week" (DCW) and Parks Associates for the CTIA 2014™ Super Mobility Week, which debuts September 9, 10 & 11 at the Las Vegas Sands Expo & Convention Center. NAHB and Parks Associates will focus on how wireless technology is being used to connect homes, providing homeowners with the convenience and cost-savings of "smarter" homes.

NAHB's 2014 DCW promotes creativity and innovation in home building, design and construction while CTIA promotes technological creativity and innovation in wireless and mobility. As part of the partnership, CTIA and NAHB will co-market events, share thought leadership content and programming at each other's respective events.

In addition, Parks Associates will co-locate an executive event focused on the emerging technologies, marketing strategies and business models for the connected home and mobile industries.

According to Parks Associates, 2013 U.S. revenues for IP-connected home service bundles, including control, automation and security monitoring services, will reach $780 million and by 2016, revenues will exceed $3.2 billion.

"By working with National Association of Home Builders and Parks Associates, our exhibitors and attendees will have access to the experts and innovators who are redefining how wireless technology is seamlessly integrating in our home," said Robert Mesirow, CTIA Vice President and Show Director.

"Technology in the home has quickly moved from a 'nice to have' to a 'must have' and wireless plays a huge role. Partnering with CTIA makes great sense as NAHB works to help builders meet the demands of today's home buyer," said Jerry Howard, NAHB CEO.

"Mobility is a key part of the connected home, and with smartphones in 60% of U.S. broadband households, the integration of apps into the connected home ecosystem and mobile environments is creating new appeal for home control systems," said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. "We are pleased to be hosting an event at CTIA 2014 that integrates consumer data and analysis and offers perspectives from industry leaders."
