On the one hand, the connected home is becoming a reality, on the other, the proliferation of internet enabled devices, OTT services and cloud-based systems are putting an increasing question mark over operator controlled set-top boxes, Walled Gardens and other traditional broadcast and telco approaches. The emergence of home gateways has to be placed inside this context, which this summit will critically evaluate.
