Tim Eskew, Director, Residential Electronic Products, Software, and Partnerships, Allegion

This year we think is the year of the smart lock: you won’t need a phone, or a key, you can walk up and your door unlocks. That has been our focus.

From our perspective, we like standards. It helps create an easier setup experience for the consumer or installer, it helps organize the information in these devices, and provides a more secure experience.

Abe Kinney, Senior Director, Product Management, Alarm.com

The security story is very strong consumers see that some solutions are not enough when they look more into them, and start searching more broadly, such as exploring smart locks.

Any AI should be actionable insights, and real information from the home. It can leverage discreet sensors, video, or other inputs.

Leah Page, Senior Vice President, Product Strategy & Innovation, ADT

Room for demand in pro install, pro-monitored systems. Within that, devices that can be attached, such as the explosion in video or lighting solutions.

The new Trusted Neighbor feature that we have introduced, tied together as a full system capability adds value beyond a point solution for that use case. We’ve seen a lot of consumers take to this for that use case.

Keith Puckett, Founder and CEO, Ubiety Technologies, Inc.

Ubiety has taken a purpose-built use for AI, not relying on LLMs. We spent several years building a catalog of how devices work together, this makes for an accurate persistent presence verification.

The AI of the home can understand if there are more people there than should be, or if a new person that has never been there before is present.
