Parks Associates digital health research reveals 25% of U.S. broadband households are interested in using a health portal to review doctors’ notes and nearly one-fifth would like to receive an electronic checklist after a doctor or hospital visit.
Consumer interest in broader communications with doctors and health professionals is growing. Additional Parks Associates digital health research shows:
- Over 50% of U.S. broadband households use two or more patient portals at least once a month.
- More than two-thirds of U.S. broadband households use a health app or portal on a monthly basis, including over 80% of those with a head of household ages 18-24.
- By 2019, millions of households will benefit from a smart home platform that offers solutions in safety/independent living, wellness, and health.
