CONNECTIONS Summit Sponsor Essence Group Wins Big at CES 2022

IoT security and healthcare solutions company Essence Group recently won double awards at CES® 2022. The CES Innovation Awards recognizes outstanding consumer technology products across multiple categories. In the Health and Wellness category, Essence is a CES 2022 Innovation Award Honoree for VitalOn. The remote patient monitoring platform combines telecare, telehealth, and wellness capabilities that monitor and detect patient activity. In the Smart Home category, the company was recognized for MyShield, the groundbreaking 5G-enabled all-in-one standalone security solution.

Essence Group is a featured sponsor of multiple Parks Associates events, including last week’s CONNECTIONS™ Summit: Smart Home Growth Strategies at CES. During the day-long event, Parks Associates announced new and recent research focused on security and health and wellness solutions in the connected home, a key area for both companies:

  • 36% of US broadband households have a security system, with 39% of systems purchased through security dealer channels; 85% of security dealers offer interactive services, driving incremental revenues for monthly service.
  • 55% of US broadband households own a connected health device, and 25% own a connected medical device;73% of US caregivers report likelihood to buy an independent living solution for their loved one.

The firm will also present new consumer research and address key health and security trends and implications for the smart home industry during its flagship event, CONNECTIONS™: The Premier Connected Home Conference in May. In its 26th year, CONNECTIONS™ is the only connected home event to focus on the use cases and emerging business models that successfully engage consumers and grow revenues in the converging smart home, connected entertainment, and mobile ecosystems.
