International research firm Parks Associates today announced the advisory board for the fifth-annual Connected Health Summit: Engaging Consumers, August 28-30 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, to explore connections among connected health technologies, independent living solutions, and adoption of security and smart home products. Parks Associates is currently accepting speaker submissions for the event.
The research firm recently reported 40% of U.S. broadband households are interested in home living services, such as alerts for family members about emergencies, alerts about dangers in the home, or concierge services offering health and retirement advice. Of those interested, 42% are very likely to pay $5 per month for these services, and 23% are very likely to pay $25 per month, according to 360 View Update: Smart Home, Caregiving, and Aging-in-Place.
