Giraffic announced today that Founder and CEO Yoel Zanger will speak at CONNECTIONS™: The Premier Connected Home Conference, in the session “Streaming as Standard: The New User Experience,” on Wednesday, May 20 at 1:15pm PDT.
The interactive panel session will be moderated by Parks Associates Director of Research Barbara Kraus, and will examine the evolution of the user experience in line with the growth of content streaming. Panelists will explore the implications for device sales and subscriptions, discuss best-in-class UX design features, and analyze changes in how consumers interact with their TVs.
Parks Associates research shows that 66% of U.S. broadband households have at least one Internet-connected CE device, including a smart TV, Blu-ray player, game console, PVR, and/or streaming media device. In addition, 38% of U.S. broadband households have a smart TV, and 77% of those have the device connected to the Internet.
“Giraffic is honored to contribute to this industry-leading event about the rapidly evolving streaming media ecosystem,” said Yoel Zanger, CEO of Giraffic. “As content streaming increases in popularity and usage, it becomes more important to help consumers and device manufacturers with technologies that can allow them to improve the video streaming experience themselves, and not rely only on the network operators and CDNs.”
Parks Associates will host the 19th-annual CONNECTIONS™: The Premier Connected Home Conference, May 19-21, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in San Francisco, Calif. The event brings together industry leaders in the connected entertainment and digital home technology industries to critical issues pertaining to the converging entertainment, media, smart home, and service markets for consumers.
“Strategic partnerships are quickly becoming a competitive advantage for industries offering products and services to the connected consumer,” said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. “At CONNECTIONS™, leading industry experts will come together to explore the advantages and opportunities for adding value through integration with solutions from different industries.”
