OnProcess Technology to Discuss New Support Strategies for IoT Devices at Parks Associates Connections Conference

OnProcess Technology, a global pioneer in service supply chain management and optimization, today announced that Karen Kosh, its VP of Broadband & Mobility Business, will be a featured speaker at Parks Associates’ CONNECTIONSTM: The Premier Connected Home Conference, taking place May 24-26, 2016 in San Francisco, CA.  Kosh will be on the panel, “Support Strategies to Integrate Smart Devices in the IoT (Internet of Things).”

“Many consumers who purchase connected products either never set them up or return them soon after installation. Often, they’re confused or uninformed about how to implement and use the product. To combat this, providers have to rethink customer service for the connected age, and take a much more proactive and analytics-based approach to customer engagement,” said Kosh. “I’m looking forward to sharing with Connections attendees some of the best practices OnProcess has used to gain real-time visibility into customer and product issues, enabling businesses to improve connected customer satisfaction and retention, and preserve their company’s revenue.”

According to Parks Associates, many device owners report problems with setup, and over 40% would be willing to pay $10/month for a support service. These new needs, alongside the promise of new revenues, have pushed IoT and smart home providers into new and unfamiliar roles of support. “Support Strategies to Integrate Smart Devices in the IoT,” which takes place Thursday, May 26 at 10:30 AM, examines strategies for these companies as they enter this new territory. The panel will be moderated by Patrice Samuels, Research Analyst, Parks Associates.

“The IoT and connected home vision is a complex mix of safety, security, comfort, convenience, entertainment, personalization, and data-backed intelligence, and for two decades, Connections has explored the best strategies for technologies and businesses to realize this vision for consumers,” said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. “We look forward to having OnProcess join this year’s event.”
