16th annual Smart Energy Summit, co-located at DISTRIBUTECH, addresses tools to improve grid stability and optimize energy distribution
Parks Associates today announced the keynotes and preliminary list of speakers for the 16th annual Smart Energy Summit: Engaging the Consumer, co-located at DISTRIBUTECH, March 25-26, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX. The speaker list includes executives from Savant Systems, Duke Energy, Southern Company, Renew Home, and SmartThings.

The research firm reports growing interest among consumers to coordinate energy use and improve efficiencies to save on costs. The firm’s research study of 8,000 US internet households, EV Charging at Home: User Demand and Preferences, shows that 68% of electric vehicle owners and intenders find it highly valuable to have EVs coordinate with other devices for charging and conserving energy use.
Event sponsors include Schneider Electric, SkyBell, Universal Electronics, Savant, Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), and NRG. Sessions will address solutions to the growing strain on the energy grid caused by the rapid expansion of data centers, which are significant consumers of electricity. The event explores how smart grid technologies, energy management platforms, and AI-based tools can improve grid stability, optimize energy distribution, and effectively balance supply with demand.
“Companies like Schneider Electric have pioneered home energy management systems that can coordinate both EV charging and other home appliances,” said Daniel Holcomb, Sr. Research Analyst, Parks Associates. “Smart home device manufacturers and EV companies can utilize these new options to simplify the management of household energy for consumers.”
