Innovative companies are driving new revenue by extending professional monitoring services beyond residential security to new use cases in the connected home.

These include monitoring of loss prevention devices, personal emergency response systems (PERS), energy management, asset tracking services, and indoor air quality, among others. Parks Associates research finds that 28% of seniors with security systems in place are willing to pay for in-home monitoring services that alert them of dangers and let family members know of any health emergencies, versus 17% of seniors overall.

On November 10 at 3:00 p.m. CT Parks Associates will host the Monitoring Services: Expanding Beyond Security session which evaluates opportunities for monitoring in the connected home for value propositions beyond security. This session opens with an analyst presentation of consumer preferences for a variety of connected services.
